How to Use Tide PODS®: A Step-by-Step Guide
1
Step 1
Determine the size of your load to avoid overloading your washing machine.
2
Step 2
Open the child-safe packaging. The Tide Matic 4-in-1 PODS® package comes with an effective child-lock to keep little hands away from the laundry pods. The lid of the tub comes with built-in child locks, which you’ll need to open using both hands. Place a finger on each latch and place your thumbs outside the tub. Lift the lid by pinching and pushing the latches towards you and opening the cover. Inside, there is a pouch, which is also childproof. You’ll need to pull the pack with both hands to open the pouch. Make sure you take the laundry pod out of the box with dry hands.
3
Step 3
Place the pod(s) at the back or bottom of the machine drum, not in the dispenser drawer. The number of pods necessary depends on the load size. Add 1 POD for one wash, but if you have a very large load size or very soiled clothes, add 2 Tide PODS®.
4
Step 4
Place clothes into the washing machine directly on top of the laundry pod.
5
Step 5
Select the appropriate wash cycle based on the garments' fabric care label and your machine’s instructions.
6
Step 6
Close the pouch and box after use. Make sure you hear the click of the tub when closing it. Always store in a cool and dry place and keep it out of reach from children.
How to Dose Tide PODS®
Washing with Tide’s compact detergent pods is literally the easiest way to get your clothes clean and nice smelling. An easy rule to remember for dosing is 1 POD = 1 wash. Because Tide Matic 4-in-1 PODS® are pre-measured, you no longer need to measure or pour messy powdered or liquid detergents into your washing machine’s detergent drawer. If you have a very large load size or a lot of soiling, then you can add an extra pod to your laundry.
Simply place one Tide POD® into the back or bottom of your washing machine’s empty drum.
Add your garments, select your preferred wash program, and use the temperature setting indicated on the fabric care label of your garments.
Close the package after use and keep out of reach of children.
In case of heavily soiled loads, use two Tide PODS®.
